EVENTS - Preparing Las Vegas 2010

The 4th and the 5th of December took place in the city of Miami an extensive working session to prepare the next World Championship of Domino for single players and couples which will gather the most famous champions of domino from all over the world.  In the meeting were present Lucas Guittard from the FID (International Domino Federation by its acronym in Spanish), Manuel Oquendo, Ernesto Anton, Roberto Villani, Maggie Cruz and Joel Cosme from the USA Domino Federation and Ralph Paniagua from R.Paniagua INC.

The decisions made and the calendar, are as follows:
- May 25th and 26th:  Inscription of players.
- May 26th: IX General Assembly from the FID and Domino World Championship Opening.
- May 27th and 28th: Domino World Championship 2010.
- May 29th: Semifinal  and TV broadcasted Final with the 4 finalist couples.

Categories
- Couples: 15 matches to 200 points each.
- Singles: 12 matches to 200 points each.

- Regulation from the FID.
- Registration: $130 per player - $200 to both categories.

Awards
- $40.000 for the first 8 places distributed by categories.
- Special trophy for the best feminine entry in both categories and money prize.
- Olympic medals in gold, silver and bronze for the first 3 places in both categories.
